3. What are the entitlements of SDO's authorised by A.G?

Authorising Pay & Allowances, issuing authorisation for drawal of allowances along with pay (i.e. recoveries), HBA, MCA authorisations, Leave salary, Terminal Leave Salary, SLS (at present stopped).

(a)   On promotion i.e. Moving from NSDO post to SDO post

(b) On transfer -

Documents to be furnished while on transfer from one post/station to another post/station in Mofusil area (which comes under the audit control of A.G)

Documents to be furnished while on transfer from one Mofusil post to Chennai city/ Madurai city (i.e. Moving from A.G audit control to PAO control)

Only on receipt of all the above 4 documents (by our office), we can send the transfer documents containing

1. Occupation of private Building:  Full address of the residential buildings to be furnished by the Officer and date of occupation.  

2.In respect of Quarters, it has to be specified whether Government quarters, PWD quarters or Tamil Nadu Housing Board quarters.  Date of occupation, certificate from the officer occupying the above quarters.

(o)   On retirement on superannuation/Voluntary retirement for claiming Terminal Leave Salary.

(p)   On extension of service

6. What are the documents required for crediting Unavailed Joining Time into the Earned Leave account of the officer?

Requisition of the officer for crediting Unavailed Joining Time within 6 months.

7. What are the various kinds of leave admissible to the SDO's and the leave salary admissible during the leave period?

GPF (STATE SERVICE)

8. When can a Govt. Servant become a member of GPF?
a. i)    On completion of six months of regular service
    ii)    Likelihood of continuing in Government Service      

b. How many times can a subscriber enhance his contribution to GPF?
        Twice  in a year.

c. How many times can a subscriber reduce his contribution to GPF?
        Once in a year.

d. When can a Government Servant apply for Temporary Advance?

Once in six months amounting to three months pay or 60% at his credit which ever is lesser in GPF.

e. Where can a Government servant  apply for Part Final Withdrawal?
        On completion of fifteen years of service depending upon the purpose for which
        it has been applied for, the duration being one year.

f. What is the minimum and maximum rate of subscription for GPF?

The minimum subscription for GPF is slab rate after 07/10/1998 and the maximum limited to the Basic Pay of the Government Servant.

g. What is the rate of interest for GPF deposits?

h. What are the occasions during which the GPF subscription need not be effected?

9. What should an All India Service officer do to join the Fund?

On appointment to All India Service from State Civil Service, the officer should submit an application for allotment of AISPF No. to GED I section, O/o. The Accountant General (A&E), Tamil Nadu, with a copy of the GPF section concerned for intimation.  On allotment of AISPF No. by GED I section, the section should intimate the AISPF No. to the AIS officer, with copy to the GPF section concerned O/o. The Accountant General (A&E), Tamil Nadu, with  a request to effect transfer of balance from his previous account number.

10. What will be done on return from Extra-Ordinary Leave or on revocation of suspension?

On revocation of suspension or on return from Extra-Ordinary Leave, the Government Servant can pay the arrears of subscription for the period in question in one lump sum or in installments as the case may be.

11. When can the subscription be stopped?

During the last 3 months of service.

12. Until when will the interest be payable on the balance at credit after retirement?

13. When can the nominations be filed and changed?

Nominations can be changed while in service and even after retirement so long as the amount remains unpaid. 

To be submitted in triplicate to the authorities concerned.

(i) For NSDO - DDO
(ii) For SDO's - Accounts Officer concerned of GPF sections.

Safe custody of nominations - SDO's nominations should be kept under safe custody in Guard Files in AG's Office.
